We opened a pop-up shop

We opened a shop. In 3 weeks!

We showcased goods for gifting by some of the most excellent, joyful, interesting and exciting local makers and small businesses. We also aimed to provide the essentials: delight, hope, and a little bit of normal.

We opened Small Matters Space in March, right before Melbourne shut down.

After 7 months of heartbreaking lockdown, Melbourne was back in action and we felt like all our Christmases had come at once. We were finally able to open! So we decided to spread the love and festive cheer by turning our space into a beautiful and merry gift shop, celebrating Melbourne and wider Victoria’s wonderful community of makers, designers and brands.

We know that heading out into the world feels like a real treat these days, so we aim to create a beautiful and unexpected space and experience worthy of that.
